ERC Advanced Grant for researchers with a track-record

Leading researchers can apply for the ERC Advanced Grants. These grants amount to a maximum of €2.5 million for a period of five years and are meant for the most important and high-risk research.

Advanced Grant

The European Research Council (ERC) promotes European ground-breaking scientific research. The programme offers five different grants, including the ERC Advanced Grant. For this grant, a total of € 626 million has been made available. The target group concerns of researchers with a proven track-record in their fields.

Applications can be submitted in 2022 again: the 20th of January to the 28th of April.

Part of Horizon Europe

In February of this year, the ERC working programme was the first programme under the new Horizon Europe to be approved by the European Commission. The programme offers grants for ground-breaking research by both starting as well as experienced researchers. Previously, the EIC Starting Grants and ERC Consolidator Grants opened for applications too.
