Cross-border cooperation in the Meuse-Rhine region? Expand with Interreg

Interreg Euregio Meuse-Rhine: content and conditions
Interreg is a funding programme that tackles inequality between regions and encourages cross-border cooperation. By means of co-financing, Interreg aims at promoting economic, social and territorial development of European regions. Each border region in Europe has its own Interreg programme.
Euregio Meuse-Rhine covers areas in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany and consists of thirteen regions. If you want to make use of the Interreg funding scheme, cooperation between at least two of the three countries is required.
For the 2014 - 2020 period, the Interreg Euregio Meuse-Rhine has selected four investment priorities. A project should contribute to at least one of the following four investment priorities:
- social inclusion and education
- territorial cohesion
For the complete call, in total, €20 million has been made available. Through the European Regional Development Fund, a maximum of 50% of co-funding can be obtained. The call is open for draft submissions until 14 September 2020. Subsequently, the call will definitely close on 2 November 2020.
