Cerescon secures € 1.5 million in Horizon 2020 funding
Subsidiefocus client Cerescon has been awarded € 1.5 million in Horizon 2020 funding. The EU Research and Innovation programme supports the development of innovative solutions that have impact at a European level. Cerescon is using the grant to enhance its selective asparagus harvesting machine, which was the first of its kind. The project began in July 2018 and will run for two years.

Subsidiefocus helped Cerescon with its Horizon 2020 application. Having successfully secured an MIT grant (Innovation Credit for SMEs in Regional and Top Sectors) in partnership with LimGroup, Subsidiefocus consultants then looked at other funding programmes and identified an interesting opportunity within the Horizon 2020 framework programme. The programme is highly competitive and success rates are low. After discussing the pros and cons with Cerescon, and the likelihood of success, Subsidiefocus guided the client through the application process. This resulted in Cerescon being awarded €1.5 million in Horizon 2020 funding.
Subsidiefocus continued to identify other potential sources of funding, not only for innovation but also in relation to personnel policy, for which Cerescon has also secured a grant. This ability to constantly identify new opportunities and take care of the whole process is what makes Subsidiefocus unique.
